When Dragon doesn't know a word, it guesses
Dragon can only write the words in its vocabulary. Say a term it doesn't know and it writes the nearest everyday words it can find, and keeps going.
Some of these mistakes are obvious. The dangerous ones look almost right, and go out under your name if nobody catches them.

Choose your vocabulary and region during installation.
Import it into Dragon
In Dragon Professional, use Vocabulary > Import list of words or phrases to add the Spellex word list to your profile. It takes a few minutes, once.
Dictate
Speak naturally. Dragon now recognises your field's terms and writes them correctly.

Which speech recognition programs does it work with?
Spellex Dictation is made for Dragon Professional. It is a word list, so it also works with other speech recognition programs that can import one.
Can I install more than one vocabulary?
Yes. Each vocabulary you add makes Dragon recognise more terms. Contact us for a bundle of the ones you need.
Does Spellex offer US or UK vocabularies?
Every vocabulary comes in American, British, Canadian and Australian English.
I installed Spellex Dictation. What do I do next?
- Connect your microphone and open Dragon Professional.
- Click Vocabulary > Import list of words or phrases, then Next.
- Click Add File and open the Spellex Dictation folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Spellex\Spellex Dictation(orC:\Program Files\Spellex\Spellex Dictation). - Choose your Spellex file, for example
SpxMedLE.txt, and click Open. - Click Next to import it. It can take several minutes. When it is done, click Next, then Finish.
